Owing to the desperate nature of the laborers, the corporation agrees to reopen the plant, but institutes changes that drastically affect the workers. The new contracts that the workers are issued clearly contradict the law. This movie is relevant to the topic, contract law, by virtue of highlighting the various issues that are associated with contract law. In the movie, the corporation’s management decided to change elements of their contracts with their workers, making the working conditions literally unbearable. The workers are denied the right to a union, receive lower pay rates than before, each have to learn all the jobs within the factory and are supposed to meet quality standards that are virtually impossible.
